Culper’s founder, Lisa Grygiel, has a background in both the fine and decorative arts, with a BA in Art History and an MA in the History of Decorative Arts and Design. Her gallery experience in New York City and Washington, D.C. led her to open an art advisory and interior design business in 2013.

A passion for the home and caring for peoples’ possessions led Lisa to a position with The Potomack Company Auction House. In 2020, Lisa opened Potomack New York Auctions to serve the growing number of designer furniture antiques, art and fashion consignments coming out of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

In 2023, Lisa founded Culper’s Online Auctions & Estate Sales in her hometown of Manhasset, New York as local friends, families, and community members were in need of assistance selling items from their homes in a timely manner, whether they were moving, downsizing, redecorating or liquidating an estate.

Lisa and her team follow an organized and detailed process of assessing, photographing, and describing items for presentation in a personalized online auction. Lisa’s expertise helps place pieces into the right hands and her client-centered approach makes the process stress free for the homeowner who needs to quickly sell items no longer needed.

To date, Lisa Grygiel and her team have worked with homeowners from New York City to the Hamptons, and beyond.
